Despite the 24-hour ceasefire announced by the parties, fighting between the Rapid Support Forces and government troops continues (https://t.me/rybar/45973) on Sudanese territory.

Local residents report hearing gunfire in the area of the presidential palace and the Sudanese Armed Forces headquarters in Khartoum. The armed forces have regained control of the airbase in Meroe and also captured an SRB base in the city of El Obeid.

Representatives of government troops have reported that the Rapid Support Forces are moving units from the western part of the country to the capital to hold their positions.

In turn, the SRB has accused the chairman of the Sovereign Council of Sudan, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, of being sympathetic to the ideas of radical Islamism.
