שון קירקפטריק, מנהל המשרד המטפל בנושא בפנטגון אמר במהלך שימוש מיוחד בסנאט, שלרוב, עצמים בלתי מזוהים מתנהלים בצורה רגילה, הם נראים כמו בלונים או תופעות טבעיות אחרות.
