Part 3, continuing where I left off in Metroid for NES. I don't remember if I played this back in the day, I think not. I know I played Super Metroid on SNES several times. This is a reskinned version with the same gameplay as the original NES game, but with renewed visuals and sound. I won't be following any walkthrus and by no means have this game memorized, so I'll probably do a lot of aimless wandering. Turns out I beat the game on this third episode. After reviewing the changes this version of Metroid enacts, I probably can't officially say I beat the original Metroid... but on the other hand, none of the improvements make it "easier" just less time-consuming. For example, all the "secret" walls and floors to other rooms are shown on the map, and the original didn't have a map. There is also a continue feature in this version which wasn't in the original. But from what I read, the original gives a password when you die, which might basically be the same, just longer to get back to where you were on the map, etc. I'll probably call it good though and not play the original NES without enhancements. My curiosity and fun factors are satisfied enough for having played it in this form. This is a replay of a full-length, unedited live stream.
