Do you stay home when it's windy outside! You can still have success getting a turkey even in windy conditions. You need to find areas that are protected by the wind, in mountainous areas look for deep hollers, and the backside of ridges. Flat land areas find ravines, or evergreens to see if birds are there. When you call try and time it when the wind dies down. It will be tough to hear a response, but pay attention and listen intently. You may need to sit for longer periods of time before getting a bird to call back. Hunting in windy conditions isn't easy, but it can be successful! Good Luck!!
