The lead role of a 1982 film had a series of tragic events surrounding it. John Belushi was originally cast but passed away from a drug overdose. The role was later offered to other actors like Sam Kinison, John Candy, Michael O'Donoghue, and Chris Farley, all of whom died under tragic circumstances. Adding to the bizarre chain of events, Farley's friend and script introducer, Phil Hartman, was murdered by his wife five months after Farley's d3ath.
