US Troops In Taiwan

Taiwanese media have reported that the US has significantly increased its military presence on the island despite China's warning by sending over 200 troops to Taiwan.

This comes when tensions between China and the US are high.

Beijing considers Taiwan part of its territory and is against any military and diplomatic ties between the self-ruled island and any other country, especially the US.

Beijing views it as interference with its sovereignty.
