Heavy Duty Butcher Block Desk | Build Video | Shop Noise

I built this giant butcher block desk from just 2x4's! If I build another I will opt for furring strips as the 2x4's can bind a lot while ripping in half. The desk took about a month to build, only working on it an hour or two most days and primarily waiting for glue to dry. I estimated around 50 gallons of chips created from all the planing. The desk was finished with black walnut danish oil and I added a coat of wipe on poly on the top. I added threaded inserts so the legs could be taken apart.
