The International Criminal Court (ICC)

The ICC has been investigating allegations of war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by various parties in Afghanistan since 2006. The investigation covers the period from May 1, 2003 to the present, and focuses on three main groups of perpetrators: the Taliban and other armed groups, the Afghan government forces and the United States military and intelligence personnel.
