Reverence and Spiritual Maturity

In this video Dan discusses the relationship between reverence and spiritual maturity and the importance of receiving our Lord with reverence when we participate in the holy sacrifice of the mass.

As we approach the Eucharist and receive Our Lord, let us take the time and truly adore him when we receive him...

Reflect in silence. You have received the
King of Kings and Lord of Lords - Body, Blood
Soul, and Divinity.

He has allowed Himself to
be consumed by you. For a brief and
glorious few moments, you are a tabernacle
of God. He is within you in a mysteriously
powerful way until He is fully absorbed into
your being. He has given Himself to you in
perfect humility and vulnerability. Protect
this precious gift and time with Him. Make
Him an offering from the altar of your heart
to God the Father. Thank Him. Beg Him to,
by His holy Presence, eradicate all within
you that is not honoring to Him. Reverence
Him in silent worship and awe.
