Seattle Orca Encounter in our Ranger Tug R-29CB

We were taking our R-29CB to Ranger Tugs for some warranty work from Everett, WA to the factory docks in Des Moines, WA. November 10th is not known as a boating day, but we were grateful to have decent weather and calm seas. As we passed Seattle, we had a surprise encounter with at least six orcas. As we learned later, there were 73 resident orcas from J,K, and L pods spread out in Puget Sound. All of this played out just west of Seattle's Discovery Park or Magnolia neighborhood.
