What is Truth?

Is truth subjective and fluid?
One day many years ago my daughter asked me a question about truth. Many years ago, when she was in college in one of the classes, she was taking there was a quote in one of the articles she had to read which posed the question of what is truth? It basically said that truth is subjective, that is truth is whatever you believe it to be. What is truth for me might not be truth for you. If this is correct, then truth will change over time; it will be fluid and not set.
