🇫🇷 Anti-government protests in France

In France, ten days after the signing (https://t.me/rybar/45935 ) President Emmanuel Macron's law on raising the retirement age does not abate protests. The president's appeal to the population with an attempt to explain the reasons for the hasty adoption of the act did not help to reduce the unrest.

Every day across the country, tens of thousands of discontented citizens participate in protest actions, which often escalate into clashes with the police. To disperse peaceful demonstrators, law enforcement officers everywhere use special means, including tear gas.

In addition to protests against pension reform, other anti-government actions are taking place in France: at the end of last week, activists erected concrete walls on a section of the A-69 highway, criticizing the construction of a new highway.

At the moment, the attitude of the population to the current government continues to deteriorate rapidly. Leading trade unions are calling for new major strikes, however, the country's leadership is not going to make concessions to the protesters.
