This is one of my favourite affirmations by Charles Fillmore.

I am aware there are many different opinions regarding affirmations, some swear by them, some say they are useless- but by embodying and memorising new lines, words, and ideas we are creating shifts in our consciousness. Everything stems from consciousness, so any internal modification will create external changes. How could it not?
Some may be quick to say what you should, and shouldn't do, but from my own experience, all methods and techniques are leading you in the right direction. What doesn't work for one person, may be exactly what you need from where you are.
Sometimes repeating an affirmation like a parrot, can be useful to build momentum, or to bring about shifts in your state. If you are new to applying this information, then repeating a phrase like "Thank You" can be extremely powerful.
But I find there is a greater power in memorising an affirmation, then contemplating it and extracting the true feeling and intention from it, and then embodying that feeling and making it a part of your life. Then the affirmation will always be used as a reminder of that desired state.

I always find that by listening to affirmation elevates my state, plus I don't believe in one method over the other, as I have found benefits from all of them. I believe in balancing positive self talk, affirmations, creative imagining and silence. Use your intuition, and follow your heart. Anything with a positive intention is beneficial, but ultimately it’s about recognising that Infinite Intelligence within.
