The beloved blue creatures are back in action! In this video, we take a deep dive into the announcement teaser for the highly anticipated Smurfs movie from Paramount Animation, set to release on February 14, 2025. Directed by Chris Miller, the Oscar-nominated filmmaker behind hits like Puss in Boots, The Penguins of Madagascar, and Shrek the Third, the movie is written by Pam Brady, a prominent writer from the long-running animated adult comedy South Park as well as the hit puppet film Team America: World Police.

The Smurfs movie marks the beginning of a massive slate of new projects involving the little blue creatures as Paramount seeks to capitalize on the brand's massive reach.
