YOU CAN'T FRY FISH ON A PAPER PLATE

I can smell the campfire now as I am writing this article. The dampness of the evening is coming into the camp as the fish that or frying in the iron skillet on the campfire. Such great memories of those early days, fishing and camping by the lakes of the northwest.
However, the evening was only complete once we grabbed our paper plates, put some potato salad, and a hot fish right off the fire. I can taste it now.
It sounds silly to say you can't fry fish on a paper plate, but it's true. The facts are you need the right tool for the right job. Iron skillets were made to fry fish paper plates were made to eat the fish on.
So it is with the gifts that God has given us. No one is brought into this world without being gifted by God with unique gifts so that they would fit into their place in God's kingdom.
We often feel out of place when we are asked to do something that we have no talent for and often no desire to do it. How many have been stuck in a job they hate but can't afford to quit because they need the money?
On the other hand, how many are not doing what they love because they can't make any money doing it? Life can get complicated until we find our sweet spot and begin to exercise God's gifts.
Most of us know the gifts but don't express them often enough. I encourage you to lean into the desires of your heart because it's gods love for you that gave you those desires.
