Picking up my brand new 2022 Royal Enfield Himalayan and riding it home to Queens, from Brooklyn NY.

Today I brought home my 2022 Royal Enfield Himalayan. I had purchased it back in Feb but I was still post-spine-surgery, so I was unable to take delivery until now. The dealership is "Brooklyn Mayd" in Brooklyn, NY, they were only about 20 minutes away from where I live. It's important to me to have a dealership nearby, as things come up and work needs to be done on the bike, at least I can get service and support close by. The owner, Sean, was very helpful and made it an easy experience for me, and I'm grateful for him being willing to store the bike for me until I was able to pick it up.

Welcome to Friday Afternoon Traffic from Broadway in Brooklyn, to Maspeth, Queens. My first ride on this bike, and it had excellent city manners.

Camera note - it's embarrassing. I finally had all the settings saved in a custom setting, but having had a recent event where I had been monkeying around with taking still shots in addition to video, I ended up leaving the camera off the custom setting and in some non-Image-Stabilization mode, so it even gives me a little motion-sickness to watch. Despite this, I still wanted to share the experience, since it reminds me of that moment every time I watch it. No VLOG here, just pure motorcycle ASMR, if there is such a thing in the busy NYC streets.

My next steps will be installing my accessories. I'll do my best to get those recorded and uploaded as soon as the weather clears up.
