‘Godfather of AI’ leaves Google, warns of tech’s dangers

However, it is the apprehensions voiced by insiders within the AI research community that are garnering significant attention. Geoffrey Hinton, a pioneering researcher often referred to as the “Godfather of AI,” recently stepped down from his position at Google to freely express his concerns about the dangers associated with the technology he played a crucial role in developing.

Throughout his illustrious career spanning several decades, Hinton’s groundbreaking contributions to deep learning and neural networks have laid the groundwork for much of the AI advancements seen today.
