Why is There So Much Plastic on Harley-Davidson's?

A Plastic Intake is a BAD IDEA! It Can Melt, Warp, & Leak, Causing the Engine to Run Poorly, Too Lean, & Ultimately Reduces Longevity. Fortunately Most Seem to Hold up. I Replaced Mine.
