Octopath Traveler 2 (PC) - Part 60: Battle-Worn Shark & Tyrannodrake Boss Fights

Before we begin the final chapters of our characters' stories, since we're out at sea anyway at the end of the previous episode, let's go fight two more optional bosses! Along the way I also found out that the Scourge of the Sea (which we fought back in Part 47) can be encountered as a regular enemy on the water after the boss fight. Damn, I should have brought Ochette along!

Speaking of boss fights, our first one in this episode is against the Battle-Worn Shark. You can see its fin patrolling an inlet between Canalbrine and Conning Creek. Bump into it with your ship to start the fight. If you got the Arcanist class already, this fight is a breeze. Just have Arcanist Partitio use Sidestep with the Seal of Diffusion in effect, and the Shark can't even touch you (though it can still inflict Terror and Speed Down with certain attacks).

The area the shark was guarding is a Level 52 dungeon called the Curious Nest. There are some treasure chests in here guarded by another optional boss, the Tyrannodrake. This boss not only hits like a truck, but also has one attack that reduces your maximum HP, as well as a gimmick where he removes one of his weaknesses as you hit him with it. Pretty smart, if you ask me.
