Beyond Contact | Colourful Sci Fi Survival Game

My reviews cover indie games that i have bought, had gifted to me and have been provided by developers for review.

In this episode I check out a new Sci Fi Survival Game called Beyond Contact. This game was developed by Playcorp Studios and was published by the guys at Deep Silver, who were responsible for some massive series including Dead Island, Saints Row and Metro. Beyond Contact places the player in the role of a group of Space Explorers on a rescue mission to a remote Alien World. When the mission goes wrong and the teams ship crash lands, the mission becomes a desperate battle for survival on a world that is both beautiful and deadly.

Beyond Contact released to mixed reviews with complaints about balance issues and a steep learning curve. Despite these issues i came to love this game and i hope this video will help you get started in the campaign

Beyond Contact is an innovative science fiction survival crafting game that features a top-down art style inspired by pulp science-fiction comics, providing a distinct visual aesthetic.
Offering players the option to engage in a narrative-driven Story Mode or an open-ended Conquest Mode, Beyond Contact's narrative objectives and moral dilemmas are reminiscent of contemporary science-fiction films.
Beyond Contact's gameplay includes a robust system of research and crafting, allowing players to create a wide variety of tools, weapons, gadgets, and structures to aid in their survival. The habitat building, farming, and game mechanics are fun and satisfying to use. The game's open world features a diverse array of fauna and flora. For players who prefer a more casual pace, the game offers a range of game customization settings.
In the year 2766, Quinn Hicks an elite member of Space Corps, the expeditionary arm of the UWC, is called in to respond to a growing crisis at the edge of known space. The planet of Ketern is breaking apart, a yet unknown energy source emanating from the planet's interior is threatening the civilization that calls Ketern home...

Conquest Mode
Join the fight for control of the planet Ketern in Beyond Contact's new Conquest Mode. This free-form survival experience offers endless gameplay, huge base-building opportunities, and epic battles against the formidable Corrupted hordes.
Story Mode
Polished through collaboration with the dedicated community, the Story Mode is ready to immerse players in an epic journey of exploration and discovery where you fight to save an entire civilization and planet from annihilation.
Coop
Work cooperatively with other players to succeed. Each player can use a character with unique abilities, skills, and tools. Revive fallen teammates with new multiplayer only features. Work together to complete shared research and objectives.

Can you survive the dynamically diverse, robustly detailed, and nquestionably deadly world of Ketern?
Utilize your Space Corps-issued equipment, weapons, and AtmoSuits to explore the diverse alien environments, discover extraordinary creatures and unusual plants, and eventually come face to face with the ancient civilization of Ketern.
Now featuring a diverse cast of unique playable characters, each with their own skills, abilities, and equipment. Quinn is a versatile generalist, Kangah a fierce warrior, and Professor Zaine an expert builder. A 4th character is being developed and will be added after release.
