Arrest and impeachment of Peruvian President Pedro Castillo sparked protest rallies and celebrations as supporters and opponents of the ousted president took to the streets of Lima.

Castillo attempted to dissolve the government and seize the power before the impeachment vote in Peruvian Congress. The attempt ended with his arrest for 'breaching constitutional order'.
