I am calling on Canadians to NOT go to work on May 6th coronation day! Here’s why.

Canada shares the same head of state as the United Kingdom, unfortunately we don’t always share the same benefits. The people of Britain will have a public holiday on May 6th coronation day but it’s unlikely Canadians will be given the same privilege. If that’s the case, we Canadians should take it upon ourselves to refuse to go into work on Saturday unless you are an essential worker. If we are forced to have the same head of state is Britain we should be given the same benefits!
