"As an institution of Faith which believes the Bible to be the word of God and supreme authority in all matters, the Church of God in Christ fully supports the Sanctity of Life ethic. We Remain the largest African-American Pentecostal denomination in the United States, with more than 12,000 congregations in 105 countries and millions of adherence globally.

As such we acknowledge the disproportionate damage that abortion has caused the African American Community, particularly African American women. And endeavor to genuinely care for women in crisis and children in need.

The Church of God in Christ believes every human being to be made in the image of Almighty God and worthy of respect, love and justice. Psalm 139:14-15 states: "that it was God who knit us together in our mother's womb and that we are both fearfully and wonderfully made.

We realize that far too many vulnerable, women are convinced that abortion is the only option because of their dire economic or social circumstance. We are therefore committed to help change this often destructive narrative by directly enhancing the circumstances of these women and their families with the goal of making abortion unthinkable and unnecessary.

To help enhance the circumstances of the underserved and uphold the Sanctity of Life, the Church of God in Christ is developing the Kingdom World Mission Center in the Fraser community of Memphis, Tennessee.

The Fraser Community is currently underserved, disadvantaged and under-resourced. However, the Church of God in Christ is embracing the challenge to reinvigorate and impact this community.

The first phase of the project will include a Megaplex Continuum of Care Clinic for women, children and families. We will also provide housing for expectant teen mothers who do not believe in aborting their children.

The Church of God in Christ recently completed the new construction of twenty (20) affordable housing units in Downtown Memphis.

'The C.O.G.I.C, the Church of God in Christ is the owner and developer of this project and we have plans to build an additional one-hundred and twenty (120) affordable housing units in Downtown, Memphis.' — Bishop J. Drew Sheard, Presiding Bishop, Church Of God In Christ, Inc.

The denomination now owns one-hundred (100) affordable housing units in Downtown Memphis Tennessee. Additionally, the Church of God in Christ has plans to build ninety (90) units of senior housing in South Memphis to provide housing for low-income underserved senior citizens.

Further, the Church of God in Christ and "Waste Management" are collaborating to provide a program entitled: Innovative Employment Pathways (IEP).

The focus of the IEP program, is to ensure we are giving the underprivileged in our communities the opportunity for a second chance through employment. The Church of God in Christ firmly believes that people deserve a second chance.

Our Kingdom World Mission Center will be the headquarters for our Global Sanctity of Life Initiatives. We need to ensure our churches, neighborhoods, cities and states are equipped to speak life and offer hope to the underserved. Our Sanctity of Life Initiatives include:

• Education and Job Training
• Hereditary Medical Disorders
• Critically Fragile Homeless
• Reduce Recidivism
• Physically, Intellectually And Emotionally Disabled
