Jaw-Dropping: John Kennedy's Argument with NIH Director Goes Viral

Senator John Kennedy grilled the director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) about a program called The Faculty Institutional Recruitment for Sustainable Transformation.

The program gave 12 institutions $241 million and directed them to promote diversity and inclusive excellence when hiring faculty members.

Kennedy questioned the fairness of institutions using taxpayer money to hire faculty members and then rejecting highly qualified candidates who believe in racial equality and treating everyone the same.
