The insidious thing
about Christians
they use
this illustration
in the book
It's like
you've got this chair
in front of you
And you can look
at the chair
and affirm
this chair is a great chair
You can say
hey, This chair
will hold you
This chair is amazing
It's made out of all
these great materials
and it's trustworthy
yet you may not
have sat in the chair
yourself
experienced it
for yourself
I think we do that
with our own faith
We do that
with our relationship
with God
As men
we put on this show
to everybody else
affirm
how faithful God is
yet we have not
trusted him ourselves
We have not sat
in that chair
and experienced
entrusting
our weight
fully to God
You know?
and so
many men are there
