Los hititas, antiguo pueblo que tuvo su reino en los territorios de los actuales paises de Turkia, siria, Palestina...tuvieron su origen en América del sur; llegaron a oriente Medio donde perfeccionaron el uso de los carros tirados por caballos. Se habla de ellos en el Antiguo Testamento, en textos que ellos mismos dejaron, en textos de sus enemigos egipcios; grandes guerreros, que sólo iban a la guerra cuando sus "dioses" se lo ordenaban; tenían ética y humanidad en la guerra: al enemigo se le daba la oportunidad de rendirse pacíficamente antes del inicio de las hostilidades, y una vez, ganada la guerra, los hititas se daban por satisfechos con los tributos y la toma de cautivos; las ciudades conquistadas no eran saqueadas y la población no era masacrada; actitudes contrarias a lo que hacían los faraones egipcios, los israelitas guiados por su dios Yahvé, los cuales se vanagloriaban por las masacres, los anatemas, los exterminios de las ciudades y sus poblaciones, sus campos plantados./ The Hittites, ancient people who had their kingdom in the territories of the current countries of Turkey, Syria, Palestine... had their origin in South America; they arrived in the Middle East where they perfected the use of chariots pulled by horses.
