The $860 stretchy pants that are social media hit

The product is from a company called “High Sports” and the product is called “Kick.” It is a cropped knit work pants that is stretchy. They retail for $860.
The company claims it is a luxury product because it is manufactured in Italy using European components. They also claim one pair of pants takes six hours to make. I fail to see how either of these justify the price tag of almost $900. In fact, I would argue that this is justification for the price tag and a way consumers can justifying spending that kind of money.
Surprisingly, women are forking out $860 for stretchy pants.
The hype seems to be the result of social media. It is hard for me to tell how much this company is paying influencers to market these pants or if this is a totally organic market hysteria phenomenon. I suspect that it is a little of both.
Please let me know what you think of these pants and if you have heard people talking about them. Would you pay almost $900 for a pair of pants?
