Poway Councilman Barry Leonard announces resignation

In a surprise announcement, Barry Leonard is resigning his post as a Poway Councilman. Leonard was first appointed to the city council to fill Steve Vaus' seat when he was elected mayor. Many thought that Barry Leonard would be a future Poway mayoral candidate. Leonard said more news would be forthcoming, but right now he has had a "change in life" that needs to be addressed. The burning question... Will there be an appointment or an election to replace him?
