Winemiller spoke to the number two ranked pound-for-pound fighter in BKFC, currently Lorenzo Hunt, who was representing Bare Knuckle News as a media member for this card. ‘The Juggernaut’ tapped into his Ric Flair energy when he let out a “Woo!” to describe the impressive first-round demolition from Dillon Winemiller.

When asked what happened out there, Winemiller said,

“Oh, man. That was the whole plan, to come in with a long jab. I want to come in with a long jab, throw my right hand behind it. My first straight didn’t land the way I wanted it to. So I went ahead, doubled up on it, and it landed where I needed it to.”

Winemiller is no stranger to combat sports as he has six mixed martial arts contests across amateur and pro as well as four professional gloved boxing bouts. All of his wins across those two disciplines have come by way of stoppage.

This marked Winemiller’s second BKFC fight overall and his second bare-knuckle boxing fight this calendar year. The Arkansas native made his debut in this combat sport at BKFC 36 when he fell short by way of a third-round TKO loss to Tony Jenkins in February.

In terms of adjustments made between fights and what he sees for himself in the future, Winemiller quipped,

“I’ve been too patient. In my first one, I believe I had been too patient and I could have finished him. I did not finish him because I was being a little too sportsmanlike. I was touching hands with him after I’d knocked him down and stuff. You know, I see that patience is not your friend in bare knuckle. We got two minutes. Let’s knock, you know.”
