20230507-What the Hell Happened to the Weatherman?

When I was a kid, the weatherman was a running joke, but over the years his predictions got a bit better.

As little as 10 years ago, you could be reasonably sure that the short term forecast was at least in the ballpark, if not dead on.

Nowadays, it's not even playing the same game, let alone in the parking lot to the same ballpark.

Something has changed in the prediction models, some variable is screwed.

I wonder if it has anything to do with changes in the big yellow ball in the sky.
