Anticipating Being Loved

In the old days of "Boss Jock" Radio, it was considered a cardinal sin to play two female artists back to back on the air. None of the Mayor's program directors could ever explain exactly why that was a rule not to be broken. If two songs fit together like today's Segue City Special, then they should be played together. So that's what we done today with Linda Ronstadt and Carly Simon. But then again we also like to eat desert before the main course...

Segue City is a recurring short-form programming element. At some point it will be a part of "The Big Kahuna." That’s an Internet Radio format that’s a part of Global Entertainment Technology that was created by Dain L. Schult.

It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles.

Other times there are hidden meanings and Easter Eggs in the mix as well. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...
