Smith and Wesson 64: A Narrated Classic in American History

This is a beautiful model 64 Smith and Wesson K-frame gun and was built a long, long time ago in 1970. This particular model here today has a super tight action and a super crisp trigger. All the way around just a gorgeous piece it's still in pristine shape. I'm super excited to take a look at her today. The model 64 is based on the model 10 but in stainless steel and production began in 1970 with a four inch tapered and pinned barrel such as what you see here on this copy.

Different variants were later produced including a heavy barreled version that came out about 1973.

The model 64 can safely handle + P ammunition.

It was the first stainless revolver approved for the NYPD and the last service revolver for departments around the country until the 1990s when semi-automatics became popular. What a shooter! What a classic in American history! You see this gun is representative of an era of America that is long gone, by.
