When we seek the solutions to our problems in our own resources God is displeased.
God lays out the consequences of Jerusalem going to Egypt for the solution to their Assyrian problem as Egypt will be of no help.
God reiterates we are not to seek worldly solutions to our problems.
When we fight a spiritual battle with fleshly weapons we will be defeated.
