I Ran my Very First Ultra Race! \\ War Hammer 100

The Warhammer 100 took place near London Kentucky on June 11th and was my very first ultra race. I chose the 50 kilometer option, however, there was also a 50 mile and 100 mile option. It was a fantastic experience, difficult, challenging and exciting all at the same time, much differnt than just speed hiking 7.5 days for an unsupported FKT. I finished in 7 hours and 39 minutes for a 15th place finish in the field of 57 runners. 13:46 min/mile moving pace with only 17 minutes of total stopped time for aid stations and bathroom breaks.
