John 1:35-51, Come and See

John chapter 1, verses 35-51, describes the beginning of Jesus' ministry on earth and his calling of his first disciples. After John, the Baptist proclaims Jesus as the "Lamb of God," Andrew and another disciple begin to follow Jesus. Andrew then tells his brother Simon that they have found the Messiah, and Jesus renames Simon as "Peter." Jesus also calls Philip to be a disciple, and Philip finds Nathanael and introduces him to Jesus.
