Illegal border crossers bring diseases to NYC as Title 42 expires-World-Wire

Ahead of the public health authority Title 42 ending on May 11, New York City Health Commissioner Dr. Ashwin Vasan instructed New York health-care providers to undergo several precautions and tests in light of an alarming trend of diseases spreading among illegal foreign nationals arriving from the southern border. Title 42 was put in place to limit entry to the U.S. to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other communicable diseases during a public health emergency.
