Cynics Are Suspicious of Everyone

In his book, A Praying Life, Paul Miller said that "cynicism begins with the wry assurance that everyone has an angle. Behind every silver lining is a cloud. The cynic is always observing, critiquing, but never engaged, loving, and hoping." Something terrible has happened to them and shaped them into negative, suspicious, disappointed people. Cynicism is the opposite of hope. If you're losing hope, may I direct you to the hope you'll find in God's Word?
