Chaos: Protest in Cuba ends in clashes and arrests; the Cuban city of Caimanera, in the east of the island, was the scene of protests that ended in confrontation with agents of the regime

Videos released by human rights groups and regime dissidents show agents of the country's security forces attacking and arresting demonstrators who chanted slogans in favor of freedom.

The NGO Amnesty International shared the reports on social networks and stated that the “violent forces” of Cuban leader Miguel Díaz-Canel "do the only thing they know how to do: repress the people and violate human rights".

The US embassy in Havana also criticized Cuba's handling of the protest. “Last night, Cuban security forces responded violently to peaceful protests in the city of Caimanera, beating citizens for demanding human right ,” says the embassy. These are the first known protests against the regime this year.
