In this clip from the “Bitcoin Policy Summit,” Jim Kyung-Soo Liew, Donna Redel, Elijah Bowdre, Zack Shapiro, and Brian Morgenstern speak about the future Bitcoin regulation in America.

Dr. Jim Kyung-Soo Liew is an Associate Professor of Finance at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School and revels in pushing the boundaries of financial knowledge and product development both as an academic and FinTech entrepreneur. He has published pioneering research in the intersection of social media big data, blockchain, and financial markets. He holds a BA in Mathematics from the University of Chicago and a Ph.D. in Finance from Columbia University.

Donna Redel is a businesswoman, academic, angel investor, and philanthropist. She is an adjunct professor at Fordham Law School focused on the intersection of law and digital assets. Redel has managed global organizations, working especially in financial performance and governance issues, for over 30 years. Redel was the first woman ever elected Chairman of the Board of Commodity Exchange, Inc. She has a J.D. from Fordham Law School, an MBA from Columbia, and a BA from Barnard College

Elijah John Bowdre is the Chairman of the Miami-Dade County CryptoCurrency Task Force. Bowdre is the president and co-founder of the US Crypto Policy Alliance, an author for Florida’s first State Blockchain bill, Miami Dade County’s Blockchain Board ordinance, and Miami’s Crypto Payment policy, trailblazing the integration of municipal crypto policy and federal blockchain legislation.

Zachary Shapiro is an attorney, startup advisor, and angel investor, with a practice dedicated to helping Bitcoin-focused ventures secure funding, scale their operations, and navigate regulatory hurdles. He is a graduate of Williams College and Yale Law School, and previously worked at Davis Polk & Wardwell, and held clerkships in the federal courts for the Southern District of New York and the Second Circuit.

Brian Morgenstern is the Head of Public Policy at Riot Platforms. Morgenstern is an American attorney and political advisor who served as White House Deputy Press Secretary to Kayleigh McEnany from 2020 to 2021. He holds a BA in Government from Georgetown University and a JD from Columbia Law School.
