DIY Tool Stand made from 2x4s | Evening Woodworker

This is a tool stand I built for my mortiser. Any tool stand designed for a mortiser needs to be heavy and solid. This design can be built with 2x4s and a small piece of plywood for the top. I also wanted to store my shop vac underneath so the tool stand does not have a lower crossbar on the front. This can also be customized to fit the exact dimensions of your tool or location.
