Castlevania Symphony of the Night is a popular video game released in 1997. The story revolves around the half-vampire protagonist, Alucard, who is the son of Dracula. Set in the gothic castle known as Castlevania, the game follows Alucard's quest to explore the castle and defeat his father, who has been resurrected and seeks to spread chaos upon the world.

After sensing Dracula's return, Alucard arrives at Castlevania to stop his father's evil plans. Along the way, he encounters a variety of supernatural creatures and bosses guarding the castle's chambers. Alucard utilizes his unique abilities, including shape-shifting, magic spells, and an arsenal of weapons, to overcome these challenges.

During his exploration, Alucard meets several characters, including Richter Belmont, a vampire hunter who has been brainwashed by dark forces. Alucard realizes that Dracula's resurrection is part of a larger scheme orchestrated by a dark priest named Shaft, who seeks to control the castle and unleash its malevolence.

With the help of Maria Renard, a young vampire hunter, Alucard navigates the intricate corridors and secret passages of the castle, uncovering its dark secrets and confronting powerful adversaries. He eventually confronts Shaft and defeats him, breaking Richter free from his control.

As Alucard delves deeper into the castle, he discovers that he must acquire several relics known as the "Crystals," which will grant him access to the inverted version of Castlevania. In the inverted castle, he faces even deadlier enemies and challenges.

Finally, Alucard reaches the throne room, where he faces off against his father, Dracula. After a fierce battle, Alucard emerges victorious, defeating Dracula and putting an end to his reign of terror. With Castlevania destroyed, Alucard decides to retreat into the shadows, vowing to fight evil whenever it arises.
