The 3-Fold Nature of Man
1 Thessalonians 5:23 - NKJV - Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely (MAKE YOU HOLY IN EVERY WAY); and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

SPIRITUAL BABIES
1 Peter 2:2 - NKJV - As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

Let’s look at the context surrounding 1 Peter 2:2 ….

1 Peter 1:22-25
22 Seeing ye have purified your souls (YOU DO IT) in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth and the flower thereof falleth away:
25 But the word of the Lord endureth forever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
1 Peter 2:1-2 - NKJV -
1 Therefore, laying aside (YOU DO IT) all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking,
2 As newborn babes, desire (YOU DO IT) the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

FRESH AND NEW BABY
2 Corinthians 5:17 - NKJV - Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

New Living Translation - This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

Passion Translation - Now, if anyone is enfolded into Christ, he has become an entirely new person. All that is related to the old order has vanished. Behold, everything is fresh and new.

A newborn baby is innocent, immature, and unskilled in the things of God. We MUST know this and do our part.

But also, they are full of faith, ready and willing to learn. That is a characteristic we all should strive for.

However, spiritual babies, like that of natural babies, are ignorant of the word what they should eat.

Natural babies can put the wrong things in their mouths, and so can spiritual babies. Meaning, they can run and eat poisonous spiritual doctrine and cause much harm to their Christian walk.
