Migrants flocking to U.S.-Mexico border

On Tuesday, federal agents spread out across the streets of El Paso, Texas, in search of migrants who had been congregating at shelters and churches in the southern border town.

These individuals were hopeful of remaining in the United States before the expiration of a border-control policy established during the Trump administration, which is set to end on Thursday, the Miami Herald reported.

The enforcement operation, carried out by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, coincided with a fresh wave of migrants from countries such as Venezuela, Haiti, and Cuba rushing to the U.S.-Mexico border.
