Here are some additional tips for disassembling and assembling the magazine catch assembly on a 1911 pistol:

Be sure to use the correct size screwdriver. Using a screwdriver that is too large or too small can damage the magazine catch or the frame.
Be careful not to over-tighten the magazine catch lock. Over-tightening the lock can cause the magazine catch to become difficult to operate.
If the magazine catch is difficult to remove or insert, you can use a small amount of gun oil to help lubricate the parts.
If you are not comfortable disassembling and assembling the magazine catch assembly, you can always take your pistol to a qualified gunsmith.
