SYNOPSIS…

PART 3
Join Jessica Leia and the band, behind the scenes, as they record ‘The Basic Tracks’ for this month’s episode: “Suburban Sidewalk”. It’s a fast song, so it probably wasn’t the best idea to get everyone caffeinated up before that little red record button was turned on. But with a little reminder from the front desk to take it easy on the tempo, and some advice from the professionals behind the workstation to just chill … well… it still ended up being a really fast song, actually.

And hey, look out for those overdubs, they can be a real doozy! Especially when they result in force f$%^ng and high pitch frequencies penetrating your already confused brain. So, expect a little slap back, some unwanted key changes and the harsh realization that your device isn’t working because you didn’t plug it in. But all that will be nicely balanced out by a beautiful kitty-cat rendition of the song we are recording today behind the scenes on: “Me and My Song”.

Perhaps a modern day 80’s rock song, “Suburban Sidewalk” might have a little ‘Cake’ in it mixed with a little ‘White Snake’, but ultimately, it’s a tune all its own. With a driving beat, punchy vocals, wonky-wonk guitars and a groove that will make you want to get up and dance, “Suburban Sidewalk” is a fun and sassy song about a woman going out on her own to live in the big city!
