BlazeTV Host Claims CIA Is 70% Marxist

BlazeTV host Steve Deace claimed that a person who had worked extensively in the federal government over the last few decades told him that 70% of the CIA is openly Marxist.

Deace used this claim to cast doubt on the government's investigation into the Texas shooter, saying that it was hard to believe that the government could confirm that the shooter's profile was actually his, and that he was actually posting clips from Tim Pool's show and writing about his appreciation for Libs of TikTok.

Deace's claims are part of a larger trend of right-wing media spreading conspiracy theories about the Texas shooting. These theories are harmful because they can make it more difficult to hold the shooter accountable for his actions.
