Golden Dawn is an ultra-nationalist and neo Fascist party of Greece, founded in 1980 by Nikolaos Michaloliakos, the party's Secretary-General. The main figure of admiration for them is Ioannis Metaxas, dictator of Greece from 1936 to 1941.
They are openly inspired in nazi and fascist ideals, which makes them targets for Syriza and their communist propaganda, but despite of the intense campaign against the party, its numbers are growing and many other organizations across Europe and beyond are inspired on them.
