Custom Cedar Casing | Was it worth it??

Short answer: Ehhh
In this video I made custom door casing for my camper. I used 1x4x8' western red cedar and a raised panel router bit. The cedar boards were half the cost of pine moulding, so for wood material cost I paid roughly $30 instead of $60, but the router bit was $70 so the only way this would be worth the cost is if I was making casing for several doors and/or raised panel doors. So in terms of cost it's easy to come out ahead but routing a giant profile was sketchy and time consuming. I'm considering a simpler profile, like just a chamfer or round over.
Let me know what you think! Is it worth it to create your own moulding?
