Cross Examination with Mark Curran May 16, 2023 (No.10) with Elizabeth Yore, International Child Advocate Attorney and Founder of Yore Children. Yore spoke with Mark Curran about the past sex abuse scandals that have hurt our Catholic Church and the need to continue to stand up for the Church to ensure that our community of faith grows and unites against crimes against children. They also discussed how the current President Joe Biden, a Catholic, has abandoned much of the teachings of the church and sold out or pandering to groups that have sadly destroyed faith and family in our country. His son Hunter Biden also has clearly launched a money laundering operation that generated millions of dollars for the family selling his power for policy favor to corrupt foreign adversaries. Yore also focuses on the massive human trafficking crimes and reprehensible child sex crimes, including child prostitution, found on Hunter Biden's laptop that have yet to be prosecuted.

Elizabeth Yore served as Special Counsel at Harpo, Inc. for the last 5 years. In that position, she acted as Oprah Winfrey’s Child Advocate both with the Oprah Winfrey Show and in South Africa at the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls. Prior to that position, Liz was General Counsel for the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, the Illinois statewide child welfare agency. At DCFS, Liz created the first missing child unit, which required the DCFS to immediately notify the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children when a foster child went missing. Illinois has been the leader in that initiative. She also spearheaded a program to aggressively prosecute human trafficking cases in the department. Prior to DCFS, Liz was General Counsel at the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in Virginia, and its first Director of the International Division handling international child abduction cases. BIO Information on Host Mark Curran

Mark C. Curran Jr. is an American attorney who served as Sheriff of Lake County, Illinois from 2006 to 2018. He was the Republican nominee in the 2020 United States Senate election in Illinois. Curran graduated from Loyola Academy in Wilmette, Illinois.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts in business from Spring Hill College, and a Juris Doctor from the Illinois Institute of Technology's Chicago-Kent College of Law. Curran attended law enforcement and leadership courses at Boston University and Northwestern University. Curran began his career as a state prosecutor in Lake County in 1990, rising to Senior Felony Prosecutor. He then served as a prosecutor with the Illinois Attorney General from 1999 to 2002. In 2002, Curran went into private practice, concentrating in civil and criminal litigation.

Curran won the Democratic Party's primary election for the position of Sheriff of Lake County, Illinois on March 21, 2006, and won the general election for that position in November 2006, defeating incumbent Gary Del Re.

In his elections and in his role as Sheriff, Curran has called for prison reform in Illinois, in which he includes a call for faith-based programming in prisons.

In August 2008, Curran made national news when he voluntarily spent a week in the Lake County Jail. On December 15, 2008, Curran announced that he was switching from the Democratic to Republican Party, calling his decision a "matter of conscience", stating that the scandals of Democratic Governor Rod Blagojevich played a role in his decision.
