The Narco State of Syria

Captagon is a type of amphetamine stimulant that can be found at parties, construction sites, and the front lines of battle. This drug was first produced in Germany in the sixties. It is commonly referred to as the drug of jihad and poor man’s cocaine. It’s a deadly cocktail of fenethylline, caffeine, and other fillers. It is mass produced in Syria.
It seems to be that the state of Syria is directly involved in Captagon’s manufacturer and distribution. Syria had a bloody and long civil war that left the economy in tatters. Captagon alone may have brought in billions of dollars for the Syrian state. The government works with armed groups like Hezbollah to distribute and transport the drug. The primary end market is the Gulf states. I believe there is a clear danger that this drug is transported into Asia and Europe. It would represent the opportunity for a huge markup in price for criminal gangs.
The UK government said the Syrian Captagon trade is worth three times as much as the combined Mexican drug cartel trade.
